An interesting animal I know is the koala

What it looks like

A koala has a stout tailless body and large head
I have round, fluffy ears, and a large, spoon-shaped nose
The koala has a body length of 60-85cm
It typically weighs 4-15kg

When you saw it

I saw it in the morning around 10 am during an early lunch break
I saw it at my secondary school
I was a boarding house student and we had a lot of bushes around the school
The koala was found on a tree by my fellow students while we were walking past it
It was very small, probably a child
It didn’t move, it was scared of us
We were very excited to see it because we had not seen that kind of animal before.
Everyone gathered around and stared at it until our teacher came to direct us to class.

Explain why it is interesting

Before seeing the koala on the tree, I didn’t know there was such an animal
We asked our teacher about it and he told us the name and some characteristics of the animal.
One interesting fact about a is that they are largely sedentary and they can sleep for up to 20 hours a day.
They are mostly active at night and spend most of their time awake feeding
It is naturally native to Australia but has been found in other parts of the world.
Koalas also sometimes regurgitate food into their mouth to be chewed a second time
Like kangaroos, koalas’ babies are called keys and when they are born they are kept in their mother’s pouch where they live for up to 7months before they are weaned.

Conclusion

Animals are a beautiful part of nature

As interesting as the koala is, it has been listed among the endangered species in the world by the Australian government

They were hunted as food by the aboriginal since the early part of the 20th century

Luckily the government of Australia is taking the protection of this species very seriously.

While there are a lot of interesting animals in the world, koalas are beautiful and peaceful animals.
