Model Answer

Introduction
  • Nobody likes to be in a long queue because it frustrates people and takes away any zeal a person has towards a thing.
  • I am not a very patient person and wouldn’t wait for a long time for a person or thing.
  • Today I will talk about a time when I had to stay in a long line for a movie ticket.
WHEN WAS IT?
  • It happened about 2 months ago. During a festive season (Christmas). I and my sister decided to go to the cinemas to watch a movie.
  • We were so excited that we invited some of our friends to tag along, and we also packed the necessary thing
What was it about?
  • We were about 7 that went to the cinemas.
  • I gathered all the money for our ticket and went to the ticket booth so I could get tickets for the movie The princess switch.
How long was the queue/line?
  • On getting there I met a long queue of about 30 people, making me the 31st person.
  • I was so shocked at first but I later found out that The movie I wanted tickets for was one of the movies on demand that day hence the crowd. So I decided to wait for my turn.
  • I waited for about 45 minutes before it got to my turn.
  • On getting to me the ticket officer said she needed to use the restroom, so I had to wait for another 15 minutes before she came back to attend to me.
How did you feel about waiting in this long queue or line?
  • I felt angry and tired, my legs started aching and I was starving as I didn’t eat before leaving the house.
  • I was getting irritated at the attitude of the ticket officer because she was slow at attending to customers.
  • I thought management at the cinema was quite poor because they had only one ticket counter, if they made two ticket counters, they could easily manage the crowd and save people’s precious time.
  • I also felt that they could avoid people getting tired from standing by setting up chairs around the ticket counter so people could sit.
Conclusion

Waiting in a long queue is not a good experience but it is something we can’t avoid sometimes. But I as a person hate it.
