- Today I will be talking about a record player that has been in my family for years.
- My grandpa is very particular about it.
- It’s the first thing you hear in the morning as he’s playing his records.
- Grandpa is an early bird hence the morning music.
- He doesn’t talk to anybody or do anything if he hasn’t played his record player.
Where did your family get it from and how long has it been in your family?
- My grandpa bought the record player when he was in school.
- So it’s been with him since then.
- It goes anywhere grandpa goes.
- The record player is played on a shelf close to grandpa’s favorite chair near the window.
- He stays there every morning and plays his music while watching the world.
- He says it is one of his most valued possessions.
- Because it was the first thing he ever bought for himself.
- With his own money.
- So he treats the record player like he’s human.
Conclusion
I like vintage things because they tell a story of their time. The time they were made and the love the owner had for it, to the extent that it’s still intact and not disposed of yet.
