- Mistakes are part of life.

What is it and when did you make it?
- Let me explain, I once made a big mistake.
- I burnt my Dad’s favorite shirt while ironing.
- It was about a year ago,
- My Dad asked me to iron his shirt as he was getting ready for a big meeting with a client.
How did you make it?
- As I was ironing the shirt, I was also listening to music.
- I suddenly received a call from one of my friends.
- I quickly picked the call forgetting that I had left the hot iron on the shirt.
- I continued to talk to my friend until I smelt something burning.
- By the time I look down at the shirt,
- It was already thoroughly burnt.
- Even to the ironing board.
- As if it wasn’t enough I quickly folded the shirt and kept it on my Dad’s bed without telling him.
- 10 minute later he came out of his room fuming.
- As he called out my name I went into hiding.
- Because I didn’t want to feel his wrath.
- But he found me and lashed me.
- I found out that he wasn’t angry that I burnt his shirt,
- He was angry that I had kept it on his bed without telling him or picking another shirt to replace the burnt one.
How did you feel about it?
- I felt disappointed with myself.
- I should have focused on the shirt instead of my phone.
- And I should have told him instead of just placing it on the bed.
