Model Answer
Introduction
- Making something out of wood, metal, paper, and other materials,
- Is one of the practical aspects of the school.
- You get to put some of the things you have learned into practice.
- I will be talking about a time I made something out of clay.
What did you make?
- At that time in school,
- Our teacher was teaching us about the different types of soil,
- And their uses.
- So she asked us to make something using clay soil.
- Though I have never molded anything with clay before I was eager to start.
- I made a human leg with shoes on.
Why did you make it?
- I made this because,
- I knew so many of my classmates would make pots, plates, spoons, and most common things.
- And I hate doing the same thing as others, I love to stand out.
- So I made something no one would think of making
How have you made it?
- My Dad has the leg of a mannequin in the garage,
- So I used that to serve as my measurements.
- Then I mixed my clay soil with little water,
- I didn’t make it too watery and not too thick so that it will hold.
- I made the foot first, then I went on to the leg,
- I then moulded the shoes.
- It was difficult because I had to make sure it was not roughly made.
How did you feel about it?
- It was challenging, as I had no prior experience of moulding before.
- But I was able to make something well.
- My teacher gave me an A,
- And she said though I made few mistakes,
- But she gave me a good grade for thinking outbox.
- For being spontaneous.
Conclusion
There is nothing we cannot do with our hands if we put our heart to it.
